For the second time in three years, DeSoto has captured the Division I Texas 7-on-7 state championship. The two-time, reigning 6A Division II champs beat Austin Anderson 38-20 in the championship game in College Station.
DeSoto, which finished No. 8 in last year’s High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football, is the first team to win three Division I titles. In addition to this year’s title, the Eagles won in 2022 and 2011.
