It’s finally time for No. 1 Oakland facing No. 2 Maryville for the right to go to the 2021 Class 6A state championship. Neither team has budged from their preseason rankings, powered by NFL Play Football.

Oakland, the defending 6A champs, travel to Maryville, which is on a 22-game home playoff game win streak. Oakland enters the game on a 28-game win streak.

This week’s meeting will be the eighth postseason matchup between the two since 2014. Maryville has won four games of the seven played.

In Division II, the state finals are set.

In two weeks in Chattanooga, No. 4 McCallie will play No. 8 Montgomery Bell Academy for the AAA title. The AA title game will feature No. 5 Lipscomb Academy taking-on No. 6 Christ Presbyterian Academy. CPA beat Lipscomb for the title in 2020.
