For the second year in a row, Westlake is the No. 1 team in the High School Football America Texas Top 25, powered by NFL Play Football. The Chaparrals nab the top-spot by beating No. 4 Denton Guyer for the 6A Division II title. The Chaps have now won three straight state championships.
North Shore won the 6A Division I title, which moves the Mustangs from No. 3 to No. 2 in the final statewide rankings. Duncanville, which entered the game ranked No. 2, falls to No. 3.
Katy Paetow makes the biggest move in our Top 25 that is created with our proprietary algorithm. The Panthers move from No. 23 to No. 12 after beating College Station for the 5A Division I title. College Station falls one spot to finish No. 14 in the state.
South Oak Cliff’s finishes No. 7 after winning the 5A Division II title.
