There isn’t a surprise at the top of the final 2021 High School Football America Private School Top 25, powered by NFL Play Football.
2021 national champ Mater Dei (Santa Ana, California) is the top private in America.
The Monarchs, who know have won three national titles in the last five years, finished a perfect 12-0 in 2021. Ten of those wins came against teams ranked in the High School Football America 200 national rankings. MD beat No. 7 Servite (twice), No. 8 St. John Bosco, No. 9 Duncanville, No. 20 Corona Centennial, No. 81 Serra (San Mateo) No. 91 Orange Lutheran, No. 143 Norco, No. 144 Santa Margarita and No. 188 Liberty.

Coming-in behind Mater Dei in our rankings, that are created with our proprietary algorithm, are Bergen Catholic (New Jersey) at No. 2, Jesuit (Florida) at No. 3, St. Thomas Aquinas (Florida) at No. 4 and Servite (California) at No. 5.
Jesuit, Florida’s 6A champ, and STA, Florida’s 7A champ, are two of seven Florida teams in the Private Top 25. IMG is ranked No. 8, followed by 3A champ Chaminade-Madonna at No. 11, 4A champ Cardinal Gibbons at No. 13, American Heritage (Plantation) at No. 20 and 2A champ Trinity Christian Academy (Jacksonville) at No. 24.
Last week, Jesuit was crowned as our Medium Schools national champ. Earlier this month, Chaminade-Madonna was named our Small Schools national champ.
In all, fourteen different states, plus the District of Columbia, are represented in the final rankings.
